Sayulitas Mexican Food - San Marcos

This place is amazing!! The Carne Asada Fries we huge and tasted so good. Got the Bean and Cheese Burrito with lots of additional ingredients and they got every single one of them right. And the green and red hot sauce is delicious.

We ordered the California Burrito and the Chilaquiles and they both were incredibly good, but the surprising thing is how much food they give you, its well worth the money. Id highly recommend Sayulitas Mexican Food!!

I 'm done with this place! Yeah, their food is decent but their insulting, rude attitudes just aren 't worth it. A couple of the several ladies can be nice but the rest tend to be nasty, irritated, arrogant and act like they 're the sh*t and you ain 't. But they 're not half the jerks the guys are. Rude, macho egomaniacs who act like they 're doing you a large favor to take your order, if your last name doesn 't end with ez, anyway, if you get my meaning. And what other restaurant or store charges you .85 if you pay with a card??? NO OTHER! is the answer. I said something about it and the big bad dude at tried to excuse it by saying the portions are bigger. What?? No, that 's not how it works. Then he said, Blame Biden . Huh?? Seriously?? And he repeated it. Amazing. Yeah, you can try to blame him (or Trump or Putin or Covid) for every little thing you have to complain about but that doesn 't fly in this case. It 's your greed that is driving that ridiculous charge, nothing else. So I gladly walked out of there and went right across the street to good old Compadres Chicken where I was greeted with a friendly smile by their lovely and kind ladies and I knew I 'd made the right choice. I paid an amount that was about 30% LESS than Sayulitas for virtually the same dish and was happy to be treated like an appreciated customer, not an annoyance. I asked what the additional charge was for using a card to pay, of course the answer was NONE! And that came as no surprise whatsoever. So, sayonara, Sayulitas. You 're not getting my business anymore. Folks, visit Compadres for their delicious, fresh food if you haven 't yet and you 'll be glad you did.

The food here is so very good. I've never in my 45 years in San Diego had its equal. I stop here every time I go by and I often order 2 items for myself. I eat large portions, yet the burritos here often last me 2 or 3 meals. It's so good.

Definitely worth coming!!! I'm from OC and was in town craving some Mexican food- specifically a Burrito. They have so many options to select from. I ordered the California Burrito- so big I couldn't finish it. All I know is when I'm back in town- will definitely be returning.
