Lions Den Eatery Hookah - San Marcos

First time and absolutely won me over! family owned, great customer service and best hummus I’ve tried to date!! We ordered the royal feast and each bite was bursting with flavor. If you want authenticity, this is the spot

My wife and I enjoyed our first visit here, and enjoyed the chicken kabob plate (very tender and savory). Enjoyed visiting with owner Bassam and his son. We will definitely be back, even though we live 15 miles away.

The food was amazing, must try!! Y’all should try the combination with the beef and chicken kabobs. Great price and great meal! Go check it out BOBCATS!

I want to start off this review by saying that I have never had food from Lion 's Den before yesterday so this was my first experience with their restaurant.The actual food was warm, delicious and well prepared...there was only one small thing that wasn 't even a big deal, but I 'm including because, well it happened and it didn 't affect me, but could have been dangerous for anyone else...I 'll explain more at the end and have included a picture. Everything else was....not great, hence only 3 stars out of 5.I ordered food from Lion 's Den Eatery through Door Dash delivery on Saturday, 6/26/21. I ordered (1) chicken kebab royal plate and (1) Kefta kebab royal plate. I received an order confirmation email from Door Dash at 11:15am. I received a text from my Dasher at 11:47 informing me she had arrived and the restaurant told her it would be 20 mins to prepare my order. I responded, No problem, thank you for the update. Around 12pm, I texted asking if there were any updates. She said, no they were still working on it. I texted again asking if she had any updates (this was closer to 12:20pm) and she responded that, no, she had gone inside twice already to ask after the order and they told her it was still being prepared. I am usually pretty patient, things happen, so I texted right before 12:30pm asking for any news, she said no.At this point, I googled the restaurant 's phone number and called myself. I confirmed this was the San Marcos location and gave the employee the relevant info (I ordered via Door Dash, what time, that my Dasher had been there since about 11:45am, etc). He informed me that the food was being taken outside to my Dasher as we were speaking and he apologized for delay. He said that since he now had my number, he would text me a 20% off code or coupon for my trouble. I told him thank you and we ended the call. I relayed the info to my Dasher. My Dasher finally delivered my order at 12:53pm.Again, the food itself was really great. It was still warm (I live about 20 mins away from the restaurant), it was well packaged and prepared. I did find a small piece of the wooden skewer still inside one of the chicken kebabs....not a big deal, I just pulled it out, but if it had been a child (and yes, even an unsuspecting adult), that might have been a bigger issue.I have yet to receive any kind of discount and I don 't really need it, but it was offered and there was no follow through so that 's disappointing. Everyone has an off day, so I am hoping this was a one off. I will give the Lion 's Den Eatery another chance because I did enjoy the food, all things considered.

Definitely 10 stars. Great food, flavors are so well together. The Loins Bowl is my personal favorite. Will be back very soon.
