Torricella Pizzeria - San Luis Obispo

Carbonara is my go-to dish for testing an Italian restaurant, and unfortunately, this place probably has the 5th best carbonara in town. I was disappointed as the pork used was not cured, but simply pan-roasted ground pork. The sauce lacked cheese and salt, and the house-made pasta deserved better.

The pizza was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and I will definitely be returning soon.

These were the worst meatballs I have ever had. They were extremely hard, lumpy, and dense, with a bland taste. It was difficult to even cut into them without grease splattering everywhere. Definitely not worth the $5 they charge for it.

As you know, pizza is all about the base. This one has it all. Both chewy and crunchy. Great toppings. And cool, courteous and efficient staff.

Everything is delicious and made from scratch. There are so many vegetarian options to choose from, and many of the menu options can be made vegan as well. Even as a brand new business with new staff, they have consistently made great food with friendly service.
