Bon Temps Creole Cafe - San Luis Obispo

We were seated promptly on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the live music in the background. The patio was dog friendly, which was a nice touch. The mimosa was strong and flavorful. The French toast was soaked in their delicious special syrup. The jambalaya could have used a bit more flavor, but the Faitdodo with hash browns provided a nice texture. The cornbread and biscuit were both tasty as well.

The Bon Temps Creole Cafe is a charming restaurant offering delicious food and a delightful dining atmosphere. During my lunch visit, live music played on the patio, enhancing the overall experience. My friend and I enjoyed listening to the music while we ate. I especially loved their homemade hot sauce! This is the perfect spot for those seeking a fantastic breakfast or lunch option just outside of downtown SLO.

I brought friends who were visiting from out of town, and my wife and I had never been to this restaurant before, so we decided to give it a try. As soon as we walked in, I was impressed with the music playing, which immediately transported me to Louisiana. The building showed signs of age, but it was well-decorated and clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, answering all of our questions and even putting up with our jokes. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the coffee was high-quality and strong. My wife and I plan to return soon to try the vegan jambalaya and other dishes we didn't have a chance to try on our first visit. A friend had recommended the cornbread, and it did not disappoint - it was delicious. Overall, a must-visit restaurant for great food and coffee. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Bon Temps is probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. They offer a wide variety of dishes for both breakfast and lunch that will keep you coming back for more. I have never had a bad meal here, everything from the red beans to the jambalayas is absolutely delicious. Even during the pandemic, the service is excellent with one server doing their best to accommodate everyone. I would love to see more unique items on the menu like alligator, frog legs, and shrimp grits, although I understand that may not be possible due to demand. I wish there was a second location closer to the Five Cities, although my wallet may not be able to handle it!

This is a fantastic spot for breakfast, their omelets are excellent and the service is outstanding.
