Contribuiți la feedbackTaste really has it all..... Excellent price point, great food, and mostly nice atmosphere when the traffic and trucks aren't going crazy on Broad Street! Lots of options for vegan vegetarian gluten free as well. I love all the possibilities and categories with one item two items or three items..... how do you want your mac and cheese?, how do you want your brussel sprouts?, how do you want your burger? So many choices, so little time that you have to keep coming back again and again! Taste you really are my go-to place! Thanks for doing a great job!
Stopped by for lunch as we were passing through SLO. The mix and match option is clever. We were seated immediately, outside under their tents in the parking lot. Service was spotty, but they were packed and we weren't in a rush. The sweet potato fries were amazing! The sauce that accompanied it was to die for, it was a massive portion and well priced. As for the mix and match portion, we got the: Gouda burger, fancy pants burger, and mac and cheese with cheddar and BBQ pulled pork. The Gouda was hands down the best and came highly recommended it didn't disappoint. The fancy pants burger was mediocre. What did disappoint was the mac and cheese the top was hot but the bottom of the cup was cold. I don't know how they prepare it, but the temp difference was off putting. For that, I'm giving it 4 stars.
We came here for an early dinner after seeing all the great reviews liked the variety of the menu. You pick either 2 items, 3 or 4 items (anything on the menu) for the set price above. Everything is slider size. We ended up getting 2 quads a duo with bahn mi, cuban, caesar salad, garlic fries, chicken sandwich 3 types of burger sliders. I can't remember the names off hand. Overall I was a bit let down. The flavor just wasn't there. Fries did not taste like garlic fries and were on the soggier side. The sliders were a decent size but again lacked flavor. The mac n cheese with bacon had no cheese or flavor in it. It was all on top as the crust but nothing inside. Disappointing. For what we got we were let down and all added up to about $80 which isn't cheap. Lesson learned.
Good but not rave worthy. We started with the grilled Brie which was very good. You can order extra bread for $1. For entree, I did a double with the fancy pants and the Mac and cheese with Gouda and bacon. The burger was pretty good but didn 't hit the spot . Very light, thin patty. the Mac and cheese was better than the burger but still wasn 't amazing. My husband got a double with the banh mi and berry salad. I liked the banh mi (the shredded pork was good) but he didn 't care for it too much. He was disappointed that the berry salad had only a berry dressing but no actual berries. The bathroom is outside which was kinda weird. You could tell it used to be a nice bathroom but is poorly maintained. I like the concept of ordering mini things instead if large portions, but it 's not something I 'd go out of my way for. If you go here, I 'd recommend eating inside as outside had a lot of flies.
Let me start of by saying I'm a huge Mac n cheese fan . That being said this little ramekin of Mac left something to be desired. It was bland and not creamy.. toppings just sprinkled on top. I had high hopes for the little trio. It was just ok. I also ordered a salad and THAT was delicious! Another thing was they didn't have appetizers during lunch which bummed me out. I like to order at least 2 appetizers when I go out to eat. The server said they were only on the dinner menu only.
