Alex Madonna's Gold Rush Steak House

If you're a fan of unique dining experiences and enjoy steak, look no further! This restaurant is the perfect spot for you. Tonight, they featured a special: an 11oz filet mignon paired with half a lobster. The filet was cooked to perfection. We also tried the pasta with chicken and shared both dishes to celebrate our anniversary. For dessert, we indulged in a champagne cake, which was absolutely delightful. I highly recommend either of the restaurants at the Madonna Inn. Both offer generous portions and excellent service.

The Madonna Inn, built in 1958 by Alex and Phyllis Madonna, is a uniquely quirky hotel and restaurant inspired by the Swiss Alps. It embraces a playful sense of extravagance and kitsch. The inn features 109 opulent rooms, each with its own distinct theme and name, such as Floral Fantasy, Jungle Rock, Sir Walter Raleigh, and Whispering Hills. No two rooms are alike, and they boast a vibrant array of colors, with a particular emphasis on pink. This is especially evident in the strikingly rosy dining room, which is adorned with bright pink booths and light pink tablecloths. Even the sugar packets on the tables are pink! It’s a fun and relaxing place to visit, and I appreciate how much attention has been given to every detail.

We had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The decor truly adds a unique charm to the space, and I felt as though I had been transported to another era. I ordered the ribeye steak, cooked just the way I like it, and it was absolutely delicious! The portion sizes are quite generous, so make sure to come with a hearty appetite.

Super delicious food in a funky atmosphere! Top notch service from all of the staff members. Highly recommend getting a cake while you’re here banana cream pie and the banana nut cake did not disappoint. Don’t forget to stop by the world famousdownstairs restrooms. We will be back!
