The view is phenomenal and the waiting staff is even more amazing. They are there to meet your needs. The food was fabulous with extraordinary presentation.
Came here with a big group, expecting to have a great time with the view. Food was the slowest, the waiters never came by, no one offered water or anything. When the food finally came it came by batches, I ate by myself at a table of 17 just because my food came first. All the meat was over cooked (6 PLATES), we gave them back and then they came red and ****. The restaurant wasnt full so we shouldntve had such bad service but yet again...we did. Dont come here if you want good food, drink something and then leave.
We have been to this Chac Lah several times during the past 12 years have a home close by and would like to see it improve Rarely review only if we need to constructively help So with that The architecture and attention to details is wonderful views spectacular Now the problem is Service and food We arrived this time with guests who are staying with us and wanted to introduce them to a wonderful location and a higher end restaurant The greeting was fine with the waiter as he showed us to a table The restaurant had maybe two table active We felt that we were being sold up to whatever they had to offer Steaks not available (No grill) pushed prime rib Margarita's served over ice no questions asked Bottle of wine brought out as the most expensive to buy which we were not looking a price. Prime rib was served cold along with the sides Prime was pieced together with mostly fat Obviously using several different cuts Lighting was so dim you could not see what you were eating Now with this review we will not be going back not because of the location it's wonderful In fact we all had Spa treatments the same day as we usually do for the past 12 years It was the pushy arrogance of the waiter not the support staff but himself. Wish it could have been different but not and we are easy really easy. To top it off when we received the bill he had to light it up with a phone and as we were paying the total ourselves and calculating the check he watched to see how much we were tipping and said 7% as we were adding more peso's to the plate we stopped and closed the book since it was so rude...Funny thing is we are all in the Hospitality business and know that side , however we suggest they get a grip on this one.....It did bother us since the place is so lovely This is a constructive assessment we at sharing for whoever is in charge
Definitely worth the cost. The food wine were very good. total area is designed as ancient Aztec, I think.
