Vezi toate recenziile.
For my last birthday stop this year, we had it here at Yumi. Its location is a bit tricky, above the cinemas and without direction how to get here. Expect heads to turn when dining here for the first time. No need to turn your head though with their offerings. Although its spread has novelty due to combinations of American in Japanese, its taste were nothing unusually different. It's pricey but not justified. We shared Sashimi Platter (Php 700). It was fresh, chilled just right but its portion too small for its price tag. The Smoked Salmon Salad was good enough, a nice addition to the menu for pescatarians. Chicken Teppan, one of their many teppanyaki offerings was quite disappointing. Its flavor was on point but its cut were too small and had too much skin. I had too much buttered Cauliflower Chahan with it. My friends shared a bowl of Shoyu Ramen, I didnt bother to try when they found its noodles sticking together and its taste mediocre. I don't see the point me indulging on carb and sodium rich dishes if it isn't too good. The only thing I loved last night was my free birthday cake. It was really moist and fudgy dark chocolate lava cake paired with sweet vanilla ice cream. Oh, a worthy note. We git a bottle of chardonnay for free since we spent more than Php 1,500. alwayshungry.ph

Yumi is a cozy japanese place above the cinema. went there cause i was craving for japanese food (as usual ????). I ordered their la vegas seared tuna as appetizer. For the main course, try the steak and foie gras teppan. The dish can be a bit pricey but its really good!
A very interesting mix. When it tastes good, it's magnificent. When it doesn't, it disappoints to the max. You know how Japanese restaurants seem to "specialize". Some. In sushi, others in iron plate or teppan, others in ramen, etc? Well this is a combo of all three. A quick look on the menu shows they are more on the teppan than the others. More choices on teppan. For this trip we ordered ramen for the kid, which was excellent. The soup stock tasted like it was actually made from boiled bone, and the butter helped a lot. We tried the foie gras makimono sushi and unfortunately I tasted strawberry - and nothing else. I'm sure the foie gras is there somewhere. Trying the scallops, I can say they were nicely cooked but each scallop was too small. Scallops like these are meant for eating en masse, not individually in the shell. The okonomiyaki tasted good, but had more dough than ingredients. I prefer my okonoiyaki with more crunch from veggies than doughy like pancakes. I would have given a higher score because no matter what I still liked the food- except for the disaster of a pork katsudon. The rice was good but the pork itself was obviously hastily heated from frozen and felt more rubbery than the skin of a Godzilla stuntman suit. Seriously, my masseter muscle had quite the workout! The saving grace was the seared spicy tuna. I love it, but can't bring myself to muster the energy to describe it more. Chewing the pork chop drained me.
