I like Japanese food, so I go to many Japanese restaurants, so I have a lot to compare. This place was really good in general. Beautiful atmosphere, looked like many places in Japan from outside and inside. The best dish we got was a beer short ribs with adobo sauce. The meat on the plate was perfect. The rest was just okay. I would go back, just didn't think or was amazing.

A favorite for over twenty years. Perfectly prepared fish and vegetable dishes for lunch and dinner. Prices are more than reasonable and lunch is an amazing value. Special mixed drinks, sake and beer, as well as excellent friendly service and a beautiful environment make this a San Jose icon.
