Banh Mi Oven Story Rd - San Jose

This restaurant is only for takeout, there is no seating available at this location. Despite some pictures showing seating, they offer a variety of other snacks for sale. We only visited for sandwiches and bread.

I recently visited a modern, high-tech Banh Mi shop for the first time and was impressed by its clean and organized appearance. The staff was friendly and the Banh Mi and Vietnamese coffee were delicious. I highly recommend giving this place a try in East San Jose.

The restaurant's operating hours are listed as open until 9pm, so I decided to stop by for a sandwich. When I arrived at the door at 8:47, a young woman turned off the open sign and told me they were closed. I pointed to my watch and mentioned that it was not yet 9pm, but she walked away without acknowledging me. It is unlikely that I will return to this place in the future.

Doesn't taste authentic at all. Bread is hard, sandwich is cold. And the most disappointed factor is that the meat are the cheapest kind I'd never get from supermarket. It's just so wrong.

The service was very polite and helpful with suggestions when asked. I had the vegan thit nuong banh mi (mini) it was super delicious and came with vegan mayo.I will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu.Vegetarian options: Definitely be back to try the rest of vegan menu.
