Big Daddy's -b-que - San Jacinto

I really enjoyed the journey to this restaurant. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I ordered the Sampler Platter for two, which came with mac and cheese and cost $44. The chicken was slightly overcooked and the skin lacked flavor, but the meat was tender. The beef tasted good, although it was cut into small pieces. The mac and cheese and beans were just okay, and I wish there were larger portions for the price. It would make sense to offer bigger sides since they cost less than the protein. I kindly urge the owners to consider increasing the portion sizes for the sides—after all, how much can noodles, cheese, and beans really cost?

Additionally, I received a piece of what they call "the boot," which is just the first or last piece of bread from a new pack. It was odd to be given plain sandwich bread instead of a roll, but I digress. On a positive note, the French fries were at least edible, although I still tossed them with the fish because my appetite had been ruined. I managed to eat a couple just to get the fishy taste out of my mouth. The pink lemonade was very good, though. Overall, I won’t recommend this restaurant, as I feel it was a waste of $20 for such a disappointing and unsatisfactory meal.

I ordered from here once via DoorDash and another time through the drive-thru. I tried the compound, BBQ chicken sandwich, homemade mac and cheese, beans, and fries, and everything was good. The prices are reasonable. Overall, I enjoyed my experience.

I went with the fish for 9.95. It was 3 pieces with a dip sauce nothing more. Rather disappointed by the size (thickness) of the actual filet. They were thin/thin like a wooden pencil. Next time I go for an MEAT article.

Beef and pork ribs were tastey. This place needs to really step it up on the sides; sides is what makes the meal. The Mac and cheese pasta was completely overcooked, mushy, and oily. Slaw tasted like it did not have dressing. Baked beans were ok. They tasted like canned pork and beans that they added to. Cornbread was literally a crouton...gave to our dogs. May order the meat again, but definitely no sides. Only 2 stars because I kinda feel cheated out of a full meal.
