Man Chan Cuisine - San Gabriel

What a delicious place! I have been on a hunt for amazing Hainan chicken. So my cravings for it has been crazy! I am glad I found this location. Their chicken is seasoned to perfection. I would say the rice needs a little more flavor, but it was really well cooked. The soup that it comes with.. MY GAWD it was delicious. I would go back just for the chicken and soup and be completely satisfied.. I probably need to lay off the rice anyways.. haha Can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

I think this place is over rated,. the hainan chicken is nothing special, steamed rice dont even have the chicken broth flavor!!! i dont think i will go back again!!

Okay...yum! The eggplant dish was incredibly delicious like REALLY good. I think it 's the best eggplant dish I 've ever had. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, seasoned nicely and the flavor was so so delicious. The pork belly in it was kinda meh but the eggplant was to die for. 4.5/5 Hainan chicken curry suuuper yummy. Kind of like a Japanese curry flavor. Very flavorful. 4/5 The hainan chicken I could 've did without. It was pretty mediocre. As others said, it has a lot of bones and the amount of meat is pretty thin. But I didn 't mind that too much it 's just that it was lacking the aroma and flavor. 2/5 The coconut cake SO GOOD. It 's basically fresh Thai young coconut that has agar agar or gelatin added to make it firmer/more jelly like. It 's incredibly good. 5/5

Not recommend, everything is just average or below. The food is just mediocre the customer service is poor.

The service, provided by what I assume is one of the owners, was excellent. Unfortunately, she was managing the front on her own, and the tables filled up quickly while I was there. I noticed that they spoke at least three languages during my visit: English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. We began with complimentary soup/bone broth, a Hainan chicken plate, and a vegetable plate recommended by the owner. Everything we tried was flavorful, although I can’t recall all the dish names. I do remember the sauces that accompanied the Hainan chicken paired wonderfully together.
