Woomiok - San Diego

Food was great! The bulgogi dish was very good. When they say spicy, they really do mean spicy, though, so be careful with your choices. All the meals also come with different sides of kimchis, cold noodles, tofu, etc, and it's all very good. Fried dumplings were delicious.

So authentic Bibimbob amazing, fried dumplings so fresh. I was the only non Korean in the whole place. Not sure why they don’t get 5 stars across the. Board. Very friendly waitstaff!

Had lunch at Woomiok today and was blown away by their authentic Korean flavors. Their hearty soups warmed the soul. Sooooo many delicious (free refill) side dishes too. We ordered two soups and the short ribs with melted cheese. Gyoza was amazing too. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an authentic Korean experience.

Hm. It's one of the better korean places in san diego, so I give it the four. But, compared to OC places, it would be a 3. It's really expensive for what it is. The sullangtang an kalbitang were decent though.

Woomiok has been on my radar for a while and I'm proud to say I'm now a fan and this will be my new go to spot for Korean food!What I ordered: Cold noodle (non spicy) I have never tried this so the flavors and textures were all new to me. I would give it a 6/10 not my cup of tea but I'm glad to say I tried it and it is probably very good for people who are fans of this dish. I will say I do want to try the spicy version sometime and see if that would be a better option for me. Galbi Soooo Yummy! It wasn't overcooked, the marinade was super tasty. 9/10 I wish they gave bigger portions! Octopus bibimbap I've had a lot of bibimbap but this is by far the best I've tasted in San Diego. I'm also not a big fan of Octopus but this was just amazing. 10/10Price: Our total for everything came out to about $70 (with no drinks). Not bad! There was a lot of food and side dishes. I definitely had leftovers. I think it's a good value.Service: Incredible. Our server was very warm and inviting. He was also very attentive. It's been a while since I've have such great service!Ambiance: We came here on a Wednesday night around 7PM and there were a decent amount of guests but we were seated right away. It was a little hard to hear and have a conversation with my friend (not sure if the music was too loud or maybe it was too loud from everyone talking) but I definitely had to raise my voice.
