The Orient Thai Cafe - San Diego

The best little caffe at all! they were on time with ordering, serving and refreshing drinks. our server was excellent! very attentive to our needs. eating was amazing! we ordered the yellow curry, green curry, drunk nudel and pad woo sen. delicious! will definitely come back when we are in the city.

This place is a secret hideaway with amazing authentic Thai eating. we have a knack for looking from the beaten path spots with traditional (read fantastic) arranged. this can only rank top for thai in sd. the hotel is located next to a yoga spot and a taco shop, sharing a parking space with 7-11, they would not see this place as the mecca it is. (Did they see, there is a parking lot, in pb?! it is unheard)! but since they are so far in my assessment, do they trust me?! so yes, next to a convenient shop, but as soon as they cross the front entrance, they are transported across all the senses to a picturesque, family-run restaurant deep in the heart of the lively streets of Thailand. the decoration is decorated and directed. a mix of quirky English signage and Thai language, buddhas and shrine decorate the walls. deep rich colors, shiny bits mixed with natural wood decor, it is really eye catch. we eat a lot of Thai food, so we felt like we knew what to expect. but our goal in 2022 is to branch out our typical choices, so while we were still on thai, we forced ourselves to order something else than our standard fair. we were so glad we did! The rice paper wraps were soft and supple, obviously fresh! our first escape was the panang curry with huh, it was tender and delish! I drank the sauce like suppe! added the hot basil with bark meat that was above the pointed big. fresh cripple on the sweet, perfect cut on the meat, and overall taste was deep and rich without being too heavy. we had to wrap ourselves with the mango sticky rice, because, you even went to Thai food, you did not order the sticky rice! the mangos were perfect, not excessively mature, but sweet, my only suggestion was to use less sticky rice, but it is not really a bad thing to get a huge part of these delicious gooey sweets! this place is a jewel, a perfect little place. try it, it will not hurt them! pro tipp: eat in restaurant! they seem to use delivery services that are overly complicated to their order system. other reviews mention similar problems, but in person, the customer service was fantastic!

Drunken noodle was excellent! perfect amount of seasoned and the staff was super sweet and attentive!

This is my second visit to this restaurant and both times have been great. The first time I had the pad thai and yellow curry, both of which were delicious. This time I tried the Drunk Noodles Three Amigos and they were also very good. I didn't notice any strong odors in the noodles, despite a previous complaint I had read about. I decided to try them out of curiosity and they have now become one of my new favorites. The staff all wear masks and are very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning again!

Tom yum soup is a must try.Disappointed with Spicy fried rice , it is not at all spicy and has pungent oil smell.
