Mosaic Restaurant And Bar - San Diego

The food was absolutely terrible and completely bland. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, and it was essentially just romaine lettuce, some cherry tomatoes, and a bit of dressing. The chicken tasted pre-frozen, and they didn’t even bother to add any seasoning. I really don’t understand how this can happen. There was no effort put into the meal at all. My husband’s pasta was also unappetizing, lacking any seasoning, and I think it was made with canned sauce. It was overpriced for such poor quality. I won't be coming back again. How about putting some seasoning into your dishes and showing that you actually care about what you're serving?

We had just arrived and were hungry. Nothing around the area and we didn 't feel like driving. So we decided to try Mosaic in the Doubletree Hotel. It 's too bad how empty it was inside the facility. They can truly promote the restaurant just by being guests in the hotel. I know with Covid things have changed. But our waitress was very friendly and sweet. The one thing I did ask for was bread since I ordered pasta. The waitress said she has been asked that multiple times when patrons ask for pasta. I said to her who serves pasta without bread . I felt it was overpriced. But, we were pleasantly surprised to see a breakfast buffet was offered the next morning which had a large selection and more patrons. Again, I believe it is all due to the marketing of the restaurant. It opens up to the pool and with so many families, they should be able to crank the business. The staff is very friendly. It has a full bar as well. Would like to see more items added to the menu for dinner.

As many reviewers have said, most of the customers at this restaurant are staying at the Doubletree Hotel. We came here after a long trip but I was disappointed. I ordered the salmon. I expected a whole filet for the price but it was about a third to half of that size. It was plated nicely but there was very little seasoning. We also tried the truffle fries which I recommend.

Patrick was so amazing to work with. The food was delicious. My father in law said it was the best catering he has ever had. I couldn't be happier with how great everything turned out for my sister's surprise party. Patrick and Kelly also helped us cut the cake we had, which they didn't have to do. I will definitely use them again if the need arises!!! Highly highly recommend!

My fiancé and I decided to try the mosaic restaurant out during our stay at the doubletree. I ordered the New York steak and she ordered the chicken entree, both were really really good. The price is a bit much for what you get but the food is good and the dining room definitely gives the elegant feel. The main point of this review is to give a huge shoutout to Sean our server for the night. He was extremely helpful and genuinely a pleasure to have as our server!!
