Mona Lisa Italian Foods - San Diego

This deli is the best in Southern California! I honestly drive an hour just to grab a sandwich here.

After dropping off a friend at the airport, I decided to visit the grocery deli at Mona's. It's always a treat to discover their unique and intriguing culinary offerings. The restaurant itself is also quite enjoyable—not overly fancy, but it serves delicious, genuine Italian food.

Old school Italian restaurant that dies all the basics right. It is a welcome respite from all the near-by Foo Foo Italian in the area.

Great location. Fair amount of parking, great food, good service from the waiters(the hostess was ok at best), and reasonable prices. Will definitely be going there everytime I am in the downtown area!
