Portions were very large and generous. Atmosphere is very dark and karaoke-like, and service was pretty attentive.
Had a fun time with a large group of 13 people. We rented karaoke room #2 $60/hr with 3hr max) and ordered food and drinks for the group to share. The portions are LARGE and definitely could be easily shared between 2 3 people. We had steamed dumplings, fried rice, spicy shrimp, chicken bulgogi, french fries, spicy parmesan fries, fried chicken, calamari, chicken wings and a couple of other sharable dishes. With individual drinks, a bottle of Chardonnay and a large bottle of Maker's Mark, the total bill was $1,050.00 after tax and tip), so it wasn't cheap. The only knocks on the restaurant are two things: 1) karaoke machine and song selection device was entirely in Korean.. if we didn't have a native speaker in the group we would have been lost, and 2) the wait staff while friendly screwed up our order on 3 different things even though we wrote it down and reviewed it with them. They corrected the errors eventually but it did take time and we had to follow up to make sure the fixes were done. All in all, we had a great time, and while expensive, we would go back again.
It is a good spot for a date. The seating area at the booths provides some privacy for a couple. The security person was so kind and he recognized us although that was our second visit. The food is served in a reasonable portion, and they have plenty of options for high protein meal. I ordered a bossam and the homemade dumplings. Bossam was delicious, and the dipping sauces were great. I personally don't like the dumplings because of the ingredients in them. I thought they could have used beans or rice as the filling, but I'm not so sure about that. The dipping sauce for the dumpling was too sweet for me. Overall, it was a great experience.
This place feels more like a bar than a restaurant, with dim lighting. The servers were welcoming and the fried chicken was tasty. The spicy garlic parm was a unique twist. The bossam was decent. However, it is a bit pricey for the overall experience. Surprisingly, it exceeded my expectations.
Beef soup is a bit sweet. Don't know it should be sweet like that or it's just about me. Fried calamari is so good
