Just a quick note - I'm focusing this review on the bar located in the back, not the restaurant. I appreciate being able to unwind and enjoy conversations with my friends when I go out...

The food can be inconsistent, but the late hours are definitely a plus. The wait time is usually short as well. I took off a star because I always order the tonkotsu, and it hasn't been up to par lately.

Hinotez has been my favorite place for yakitori for years. I hadn't visited in a while, and I've noticed they've made some changes, including updates to the menu.

Great food, though I would have preferred less sauce on the chicken. My favorites of the evening were the garlic edamame and the katsudon. The only downside of our experience was the computerized menu. It was hard to navigate, though the staff was very patient in helping us.

The sushi and ramen were okay. I thought the pork curry and rice was pretty good. The waiting service needed some work. Overall the prices weren't bad.
