Cusp Dining And Drinks - San Diego

This is my favorite spot near La Jolla Shores! They will be undergoing some renovations for the next couple of months, and I can't wait for the reopening!

The service was quite frustrating. We weren't allowed to order from the happy hour menu for the first half hour of our visit because the bartender hadn't yet arrived. When he finally showed up, our waiter still managed to get our drink order wrong. On the positive side, the view was nice.

We couldn't have picked a better time to visit: the sunset was breathtaking, and the view from CUSP was incredible. Our server was friendly and attentive, which added to the experience. The food was quite enjoyable. I've recently adopted a policy of limiting my ratings to four stars for restaurants that don't offer a vegetarian entrée on their menu. I opted for a couple of side dishes—grilled mushrooms and green beans—as my main course after starting off with a uniquely delicious watermelon and feta salad.

The charcuterie board is always a hit- the cheese and meat combos with the jams and honey almonds is delicious. We paired this with lamb bolognese and lamb empanadas. The bolognese was great but the empanadas were okay. I feel like they could have used a bit more seasoning or filling. Our server, Arther, was amazing and attentive. Will return- especially for the view
