Casa de Guadalajara is a spacious restaurant located next to a charming little bazaar, which is great for browsing while waiting for a table—something you might need to do since it can get busy on weekends. Both the interior and exterior are beautifully decorated, and the outdoor seating area is fantastic—it's cozy and festive, often featuring mariachis, I believe every day. One standout feature is the massive basket of tortilla chips; I indulged quite a bit, and it felt like the basket was never-ending. But of course, the real highlight is the food. I ordered the Seafood Enchiladas, which were generously filled with lobster, shrimp, and sea bass. My only disappointment was that they served black beans without rice. I also had the chance to try some stewed carnitas (though served separately from the stew) that were juicy and delicious. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 4.5 stars. It’s excellent, though not absolutely extraordinary; however, it comfortably earns a 5 over a 4.

I absolutely adore the decor! We all enjoyed our meals, and the portion sizes are quite generous. Our waiter was extremely helpful. The restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor seating. It's easy to locate and situated in a lovely area of the old town. I had the grilled chicken with avocado salad, while my son opted for the fish tacos. I also highly recommend the guacamole.
