Cali Banh Mi - San Diego

A Vietnamese friend introduced me to Banh Mi, and I've been eager to try it whenever I get the opportunity. A coworker mentioned this place, so I decided to check it out, and I'm so glad I did. The bread was excellent—not chewy like some can be when the sandwich is cold. The fillings were plentiful and incredibly tasty. If you're ever in the mood for a Vietnamese sandwich, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I ordered a Cali bowl with grilled chicken, mixed greens, and Saigon sauce, along with a lemongrass ribeye banh mi. My friend and I absolutely loved the food! He rated his banh mi an impressive 8.5/10. The chicken in my bowl was juicy and tender, and the Saigon sauce was light yet packed with flavor. Overall, we had a great dining experience. The restaurant's atmosphere is simple, but they offer a variety of dishes beyond just banh mi and bowls, including freshly baked French bread and desserts. The prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes.

Honestly, this is one of the best Banh Mi sandwiches I've had in San Diego. They are incredibly delicious and definitely worth the trip. I find myself craving these amazing sandwiches frequently!

I frequently dine at this restaurant, and I really enjoy the savory pork web mi sandwich. The shrimp spring rolls are also excellent and refreshing. The staff are friendly, and I appreciate being able to place my order online for free and pick it up.

I found the Goi Cuon with BBQ pork to be just okay. The shrimp was a bit dry, and there were more sprouts in the rolls than vermicelli. As for the Banh Mi, I tried the special with cold cuts, and it was similarly average. The main flavors came from the pickled radishes and carrots, which overshadowed everything else. There were only three thin slices of cucumber instead of a proper portion. I think I’ll choose a different place next time.
