Barrio Star - San Diego

We had a great experience at the restaurant with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. I opted for the Tortilla Soup with Chicken while my partner tried the Shrimp Tacos - both were tasty and served promptly. However, we were disappointed to see a 4% surcharge on the bill. We will not be visiting again until the prices are adjusted to better match the actual cost of the dishes.

The French fries were excellent, fast service, and cooked perfectly.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service is top-notch. The tacos barria were absolutely delicious! We also tried a flight of margaritas, which included a blackberry jalapeño variety that was outstanding. I also ordered a fresh strawberry lemonade, which was beautifully presented. Barrio Star has quickly become my new favorite local spot!

Our server Kris was awesome! Very on top of various bills in a big group. Great options for gluten free and vegetarian, clearly marked, and for both at the same time which is rare. Soy chorizo and potato tacos were very nice. $5 tacos before 5pm was awesome, and the different margaritas were great

Stopped here on a whim, and everything was awesome! Highly recommended!!
