Asia Cafe - San Diego

This charming little restaurant specializes in delicious Thai cuisine with generous portion sizes. I ordered my go-to Thai meal: Tom Yum soup (with chicken) and Pad Thai noodles, also with chicken. The ‘cup’ of soup I received was as large as what others would get in a bowl; it was incredibly flavorful and packed with fresh vegetables—no frozen ingredients here! The Pad Thai was a hearty serving and absolutely delightful. I requested medium spice for both dishes, and they got it just right. The service was prompt and attentive. They offer takeout, accept credit cards, and are closed on Sundays.

The food was fantastic! The exterior of the restaurant might be a bit misleading since it's tucked away in the corner of the shopping center. However, once the dishes are served, you won't be let down. The portions are shareable, and we tried the beef drunken noodles and the veggie delight stir fry—both were delicious and paired well together. Their Thai tea is absolutely amazing! Definitely worth a try.

I discovered this delightful gem on Market Street and 47th. The reviews truly reflect the quality of the food. The dining area is simple, but the food is exceptional, and the service is excellent. We tried the mixed vegetable stir-fry and the drunken noodles with beef, both of which were outstanding. We're typically fans of spicy food, so I recommend ordering a spiciness level of 7 if you enjoy some heat; otherwise, stick to something below 5. We opted for a 6 and found it could have used a bit more spice, but that's not the restaurant's fault.

This place is so good. Best of Thai I’ve had and it’s gluten free. The Tom Kha is off the hook too. Very kind people. It is a hole in the wall that you can’t miss.

Best pad thai we’ve had in San Diego! Will definitely be back! Can’t wait to try the curry.
