Monarca - Salt Lake City

We were excited to return as we loved the food a few weeks ago when we visited. Disappointed this time, the chicken was dry and chewy in our enchiladas and they arrived lukewarm. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

The fish tacos are made with salmon which I love. My friend got the birria tacos he made sounds of pleasure the whole time he was eating them. 😊The server seemed really on top of things even though she was busy. Good staff.

Great queso fundido with chorizo and excellent tasty tacos.

This was an off night. We were greeted and seated in prompt but very friendly manner. Our waitress was knowledgeable and welcoming and took our order. Cocktails, appetizers and entrees. Within a very short time, the entrees arrived before the apps and the drinks. This threw a wrinkle in the cadence of the entire dinner. The food was good, but the experience was upended. In previous visits, cocktails took a noticeably long time to arrive… long enough that it’s probably impacting revenue. If the service was faster, we would’ve had another round. I’ll be back, but you dropped a couple of positions in my favorite list.

Texture was good flavor it needed a something it was just a bit pale.
