Kyoto Japanese - Salt Lake City

I am very disappointed in my experience ordering takeout at Kyoto. I order frequently. I went to pick up my food and the front of house staff was rude and inattentive. They helped multiple people who arrived after me, and even after I asked for an update on my order, just walked away. They were over-staffed. I a big sushi lover!!! I brought my family to Kyoto for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was a phenomenal experience! I love the privacy of the booth tables and the service was great! Not to mention the food was delicious. I highly recommend!

Staff was really nice and the atmosphere was good. Food came out so quick I almost wanted to ask if they were sure it was for us!

I am sad to leave this review because we have had so many good experiences at the Kyoto in the past. I almost wonder if we did something to offend the server. When my husband asked for diet coke, she brought him coke, and then didn't refill it once. She recommended the Saba (mackerel), explaining that it was fresh, but it was very much not fresh. I took two fishy-tasting bites (with bones in them) before I knew I couldn't eat it. My husband and I traded meals. He ordered the Yose Nabe. The … – show
