Thumbprint surprise. I've been going to glaus since I was just a little girl. my mother used to take me as a rare tasty bite there and let me choose my bake of the choice. Of course, I have always chosen the cupcakes that were made completely sugary with heads of disney princesses or other figures. Now that I'm older, I have an appreciation for more complex things. one of the things I love at the glaus are their bite-size cake pieces that come in a lot of aromen such as chocolate, vanilla, chocolate minze, celestial and lemon. the cake is soft and moist with smooth frosting and spiced filling and side covered with folds. another thing that I love is their eclairs I am not big on cream...read more
Big. their aromes are ab/stranded. the inner feels dirty and dingy. also their cakes are super-intensive.
Chocolate Rum Pastry... mmmm. I no longer live in Salt Lake but every time I visit I simply HAVE to make a trip to Glaus for one (or several) of their chocolate with rum/pineapple filling french pastries. And, if I get there at the right time I might have a tuna sandwich for lunch. Also enjoy the mint brownies. The frozen pot pies were a hit with my family when I lived in town.
Glaus has been a tradition for over 15 years. Best cakes and deserts around. You are missing out.
