Contribuiți la feedbackI was pleasantly surprised by how well the barbecue and curry flavors went together. We had a party of 6 And everyone myself included loved their food. I had brisket Massimon curry and my wife chicken curry. Both were really good with a strong flavor coming through from the smoked meats. The yellow curry was a little spicy but not over the top. Cornbread was moist and flavorful, baked beans were also very legit. A few of my friends opted for just straight up barbecue, we all shared a bit off of our plates and as barbecue goes it was very good. The Owner his wife and their beautiful little daughter were all very friendly and sweet. I enjoyed my chat with the owner on how he came to become a thai bbq joint owner. I will be back soon!
Smelled great walking inside on a 26 degree evening. I was starving and ordered the 1lb of meat with two sides. I had brisket and pulled pork. Both had great flavor, brisket was very tender. Had beans which were amazing and cole slaw which was good as well. They offer 3 sauces. Original, Tangy and Memphis Sweet. Had a Diet Coke because I ate almost all the meat! Only thing that could have made it better was some corn bread or some rolls and butter included in the meal. Cost $18 2 for brisket, with the soda and a good tip I just squeaked under $30. Check this place out! Good value for your money!
This is my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake. The yellow curry brisket is simply the best single meal in town. Probably get it weekly, either at the restaurant or take out in my way home, and have never had a sub par version. My wife gets the yellow curry veggie and has equally rave reviews for it. Big portions so there are leftovers which are just as good the next day. Owner and staff are friendly as can be. Small place so get there early before it fills. Also know that they cook their own meat on site and when they are out for the day they are out. Decent beer selection with a good Uinta bottled beer for around 3$. And don't overlook the side salad with this fantastic green dressing that I could eat every day. Hidden gem just west of Sugarhouse. Don't overlook this. Just plain fantastic.
I like curry and I like bbq. Combine them and it's amazing. Best curry I have had in Utah. Smoked chicken inside of yellow curry was delicious. Tried the brisket in curry too and it was also good. Their Carolina mustard sauce is exactly right. That's how it's supposed to taste.
I opted for the half-and-half plate, selecting chicken and beef brisket, and chose coleslaw and baked beans as my sides. I didn't have high expectations, thinking, "How good can barbecue be when it's prepared by Asians?" I was completely mistaken! The food was absolutely delicious. The beef brisket was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, while the chicken was juicy but already cut into pieces. My friend mentioned that it usually comes as a whole breast or thigh. The baked beans were tasty, and the coleslaw was refreshing. Their barbecue sauce on the table was fantastic—some sauces were a bit tangy while others had a delightful kick. I loved the combination of their original and spicy sauces. The prices for the barbecue are quite reasonable, and the portions are generous, leaving you feeling very satisfied. This place is definitely worth a visit, and I would happily return, even if just for takeout!
