Boneshakers - Salem

We have ate at this restaurant 3 times over the last few years. The food has always been amazing and the staff has been great. The last 2 times we ate at the bar and the two bar tenders were awesome entertaining. I highly recommend making the drive to Salem Ohio for this restaurant. The pictures I am sharing were from our last visit and a couple of these were on the specials menu. My friend and I both had the Lasagna. Huge portion which I took half of mine home and ate for lunch the next day. My wife had the salmon dinner and also loved it. Our appetizers were shrimp cocktail and another special, the blue fin crab chips dip. Omg this dip was amazing! Not a drop left of that when we left!!! We will be back!!!!! Also, we visited this during the Salem Super Cruise when thousands of people and cars fill the city. Bone Shakers still provided amazing service despite being slammed with business! My only disappointment was my side salad. The portion was fine.... It was just OK. The meal itself is where it's at!

Ken, our server, was upbeat, positive and knowledgeable about the menu. He was appropriately attentive. If I go again, I will not order tuna or walleye. Maybe stick to a burger. (Although all our vegetables were cooked properly and flavorful.

I visited this restaurant on Saturday with some friends, and our waiter was fantastic and very attentive. However, I had an issue with the chef. I requested my pork chops to be butterflied and well done, but the chef refused to accommodate my preference, stating that they wouldn’t make it that way. Instead, I received whole pork chops swimming in juice. The waiter apologized and mentioned that the chef wanted me to cut one open, which I did, but I ended up sending it back. Eventually, I received the butterfly cut I requested, but unfortunately, they were still not cooked to my liking. I believe the chef needs to remember that it’s not their place to dictate how customers enjoy their food. After all, without customers, they wouldn’t have a job!

I always enjoy the atmosphere here, and the service is fantastic with friendly staff. The food is excellent, and they offer a wonderful menu along with great drink options! I've never had a bad dinner experience!

This restaurant is one of the best places to take kids, thanks to the incredibly accommodating staff we've encountered.
