La Terraza Del Montalvo - Salamanca

We live in Spain and have pride in telling our friends that the best food in the world is found throughout the Iberian peninsula. Well the food we had for dinner was the worst we have ever had ! The fish was twice under cooked. The “migas “ , normally a simple country dish was appalling: no other words to describe it. The pate inedible. The staff were most kind and efficient: no complaints there. However the team in charge of the kitchen need a serious upgrade. They should work on good simple dishes and do them well! Not try sophisticated dishes that end up being inedible. This review is harsh, however accurate. We noted two couples sending back there food! My wife is Spanish and was embarrassed and told the head waiter how bad the food was. The restaurant was clean and service good. We felt sorry for the waitress who obviously was aware of how bad the food was. We don’t enjoy giving such a bad review but feel on this occasion it was necessary. Salamanca is a beautiful place! Don’t let bad food ruin people’s holidays! Perdona pero tenéis que mejorar la cocina bastante!

Son varias las veces que hemos ido a comer allí. Nos encantan sus arroces. También en ocasiones hemos comido su menú del día y está fenomenal. Además si es en domingo tienen servicio de guardería que hace que podamos alargar la comida sin problemas ya que están a gusto los niños y nosotros.

Buscando por Internet me salio este restaurante como especialistas en arroces. Estuvimos degustando dos tipos de arroz a cual mejor. Muy bien servida por parte de los camareros, buenos profesionales. Materia prima muy buena.
