After visiting the musewm district we strolled over to the theater, gardens, and restaurant. The food and wine was perfect. we had an outside table and the atmosphere was perfect. The Saumon Miso Gingembre Sesame was very good, the soup, and salad was also very good. Was a wonderful treat to sit back away from the street and enjoy Paris.
Its a typical brasserie, with a bar and a limited menu. The quality of the food was average. However, the service was (un-Parisien) very friendly.
I have had two great meals out of three here and this resto is the last of a breed of real French cafe food. A reasonable menu express of Beef marmottan with carrots was succulent in its silky sauce, but the poireaux vinaigrette entry was scant on leeks. It used to be you'd get a couple or 3 full leaks on the plate. This serving was like leak shavings. True leeks are expensive these days, but still... Still love this place though the service was slow. slow slow.
For their holidays, they only verbally said their closure that they could have indicated it outside
