Contribuiți la feedbackI was in the neighborhood by chance, I saw this café from across the street advertising cappuccino, macha latté hojicha(Japanese grilled tea) came for a cappuccino. The chef was busy preparing lunch homemade bread (like a brioche) for sandwiches of the day. Even though I came for a coffee , I ended staying later so I could order lunch dinner to take away. I just fished the vegetarian sandwich it was delicious. Actually sandwich is an understatement for what this meal was, it was like a pita filled with a meal . Try it : well worth your time money
Tako is a place that you must search out. It is a tiny spot on a modest street. While there are seats for eight diners, most customers do take out. My friend and I had time to spare, so we dined in and occupied one of four two seat tables available. The chef stands behind his counter, not more than six feet away, where he works his culinary magic. His assistant is efficient in providing drinks and serving the food. I consider myself a connoisseur of sandwiches, and, these babies are at the top of the list. Really, I don't want to be boring, but, what is presented at Tako is unique. We tried two sandwiches, a veg and a sauteed veal. Start with home made bread, a little puffy loaf that is cut so it resembles a fat, spongy pita bread. Ingredients are added with precision, radishes, sprouts and other assorted goodies. The veg sandwich had olives along with a whole host of other complimentary items. The main ingredient in my sandwich, the sauteed veal, was melt in the mouth perfect. Both sammys contained wonderful tastes held together beautifully in the little bread cocoon. These are haute cuisine sandwiches, incredibly elaborate, incredibly artistic. Everyone should try one. There are first courses too. Mine was Gazpacho made with peaches and red peppers, yummy. My friend's was a soft cooked egg dish with bits of potato and other veggies. When you find a restaurant that serves food you can get no where else, you have found a special place. Tako is one of those places.
Affordable menu and tako is wonderful. Steam bread is succulent and mellow and generous! good products for a taste of the appointment.
Tako is a little surprise lunch in the neighborhood, he doesn't pay for a mine, but the tastes are there with a renewed card every time I pass. The adorable owner takes his time in the preparations and his taste is terribly good, with an exquisite finesse. It's a little more expensive than the average price of the neighborhood, but we're really at another level of cuisine.
Great reception, very good dishes and desserts, excellent teas, very good quality price I can't wait to come back.
