We like to visit places we have never heard of. On the way home from a visit with some friends we decided to try this place for a bite. From the moment we went to the moment we went out, we were not disappointed. The food was worthwhile, the selection of dishes made with local dishes was a very pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was just as pleasant. We had conversations with strangers and this warms my heart. We sat at the bar. If you want a table, it is best to call ahead and make a reservation. We didn't know that and I'm not usually a seat in the bar, but I'm so happy we did it! The waiting staff was very friendly, this place reminded me of going to a local campground... and I'm not from anywhere near St. Louis. If you go through the stop when you are living nearby and have not tried to stop here if you are already in...thanks to keeping you for the business! A great thank you to the owner, the chefs, the waiting staff and the cartridges for a great experience.

Good brunch at Stone Turtle! I liked the French press. Also fun to find fresh guava in a fruit page!

That was a great brunch today. We had a wonderful waiter, Billy, who was amazing. He was super attentive and even sweated with us. Any exceptions or changes that we needed for a menu item...he has made it happen. Eating smart: everything was delicious. I had the brioche French toast and bacon that was great and we had mimoses... delicious! Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this restaurant. Definitely a great place to chill and hang with friends over brunch!

The waitress was very knowledgeable and nice. The Calamari was delicious and the drinks. Salmon, potatoes and broccoli were not the best. My husband liked his steak, but overall we don't think we'll visit again.

Stone turtle was an extremely wonderful find within walking distance of the St Louis zoo. The tiger rolls were perfect, and the wild caught bass was seasoned wonderfully. The drinks were fun and the socialista offered several layers of great flavor. Dessert was decadent as it should be. This was definitely one of the best dining spots we've been to in a year. Do make a reservation and definitely stop in.
