D&g Pub And Grub Brew Haus

UPDATE We came back for the third time and as usual the food was excellent, the staff was attentive and pretty much the best experience you can have at a restaurant. This time we had the funnel fries and boston cream pie. They were both good but the funnel fries were out of this world!!!!! We found this gem on a random trip to St. Joseph. It was quiet when we went but don't let that fool you. This place has a great atmosphere and amazing food. I had the Duncan and he had the Neal Peart. Both were fantastic. Full of flavor and not from a can. We also had onion rings and crab Rangoons!!! They also have a concert venue attached called Cafe Acoustic. They have bands and an open mic night. We happened to meet the owner and could tell this place was a passion, not just a business. We will definitely make the trip up here again just to have the food. Amazing!!! What a cool pub!! This place was suggested on a CHIEFS training camp FB group as a place to visit for lunch or dinner, and it is SO COOL! Not your typical pub fare! The locally brewed beer was very nice, and the flight of beers went nicely with the well-thought out and crafted entrees. Definitely worth a return visit! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I loved the food and atmosphere. The dead rockers themed menu was awesome. We were just on a small 4 day trip to Iowa and it was by far the best food we had a restaurant. I had the Jim Morrison. It was a pork tenderloin sandwich. It was not the biggest tenderloin I have had but it was thick, juicy and delicious. It came on a large, toasted Brioche bun. I ordered the roasted potatoes and they were very good. My daughter had the Whitney Houston. It was a ham and Swiss cheese sandwich on two pieces of French toast. She loved it. The seasoned French fries were also good. My wife had The Big Bopper. It was a salad with grilled chicken and she also enjoyed it. A very good place in St. Joseph, Missouri.
