Four of us went after a long day of visit to chez dédé. both the owner and the waiter were friendly....Service was good. we had 2 vegetarian plates, the cutting plate and the tip plate. the food was good and that was generous. nothing nice, just a big plate with everything in it. I order the Spanish plate : super good chorizo-like savors, serano ham, fries, salat and tomaten (fresh and ripe,) very good piperrad (a delicious tomato and capsicum sauce.) I appreciate that the ingredients were fresh. we also ordered a bottle of wine after the waiter's suggestion that was a good one. were good. a great experience. expect nothing nice, but it is a great stop for a good meal and a good atmosphere. the owner also gave us tips where to buy local delicacies.
The food was not fresh. The boss was very rude. A place to avoid at all cost. Better to miss a meal than feel ill ! All the restaurants were closed and we were starving, so we had no other choice than to go there....We wanted to swap the chips with fresh salad but were laughed at and criticized . We did eat the horrible food (old salad and omelette with vegetable from a tin) without a word. We paid and while leaving I said to the owner 'Thank you for your nice welcome ' He stood up very quickly and walked towards me, all red in the face and stopped probably aware of the other customers. I thought his behaviour was very aggressive. This person forgets that his living comes from his customers.
Lovely old restaurant building within walls of the old town. Very welcoming and friendly. Large portions of traditional food.
This was not a comfortable evening. The restaurant looked sweet enough, nicely decorated and furnished but had no fish on the menu too far from the sea apparently! The vegetarian platter, our only option, was a joke a piece of cheese, lettuce, one tinned asparagus,...chips and a tomato sauce. The waiter was not just efficient, he was turbo charged. Plates were swept away and next course delivered before we were ready. I don 't believe there aren 't vegetarian pilgrims who need feeding well so it is no excuse to suggest there is no demand. Luckily, the wine was pleasant and we managed to take our time with it, despite the best efforts of the waiter. Perhaps meat eaters would fare better!
Your kitchen might seem suitable if your welcome and behavior were also. alas no need to come to restore in an overvolted atmosphere in which your acerbic comments and injunctions to your staff. Sorry dédé, we pass our way
