Ali Baba Pizza - Saanich

I just tried the pizza by the slice from this place. The slices were huge and packed with toppings! They were freshly heated in the oven.

We ordered a couple slices of the gourmet vegetable as the pie just came out over the oven. The toppings were tasty which included artichoke hearts and feta. The crusty was doughy and lacking flavor. It was more attuned to chain restaurants like dominos. I probably wouldn’t order again. But my preference is a chewy thin New York style or a nice brick oven crust.

I was charged over $100 before 5pm at this restaurant, but the charges were not authorized. Nanaimo was unable to help, and Duncan hung up on us when we tried to inquire about our money. The service is usually quick, but they sometimes don't have a delivery driver available.

Thought I'd try the by the slice pizza again a couple years later. And its gotten even worse. 5% topping 95% bread $7 a slice and they dont have a back cover on the slices so its always room temp

Ali Baba recently increased the price of their pizza by the slice. The quality is not worth the higher cost. Previously, two pieces of pizza were $6.50, but now one piece costs $6. It may be worth visiting the Quadra location to check out the changes.
