We got a kick out of the very Swiss way that they synchronized serving and removing the plate covers. I have been to other places in Switzerland that do this. Seems to be kind of a dying art in the US? They had a nice salad bar, and also served a mixed salad that was very good. Our table ordered a variety of plates and shared a bit, and everything was good.

Extensive wine list, service its the best in the area, great sunny terrace, dont miss 1st August ( Switzerland s day) they prepare one of the best buffets in the Saanenland. Innovative.

Hornberg is a hotel restaurant which very wells represents the Saanenland spirit. I've never lodged at the hotel, but went several times to the restaurant. The food is quite fresh and well prepared, and the regional cuisine gain a finer touch there. The menu has different options, mostly going though local cuisine or having a local touch.The service is amazing, and all the personnel, from owners to servers, are extremely nice.The terrace offers a peacefull athmosphere and fantastic views on sunny days.Worth the visit.
