Dory's Den - Ryde

Very large portions at the price. beautiful crisp teig on the fish. could do with some more salt and vinegar.

I've visited several fish and chip shops on the Isle of Wight, and I can honestly say that this one is the best. I've been here twice now, and the fish is thick and crispy, with a batter that's crunchy but not greasy. The chips are perfect as well, and everything is freshly cooked to order. The young staff do a fantastic job. I give it a 10/10! - Boffey from Bedford, Bedfordshire.

If you must eat here, be sure to order the cod and chips. The size of the cod was so generous that it could have fed an entire family! However, it was so delicious that I ended up finishing it all myself!

The chips at this restaurant in Ryde are the best! The fish and burgers are also very reasonably priced and delicious.

Although the fish was cooked fresh the chips appeared to have been from a much earlier batch and were COLD, HARD, and DISGUSTING!!!! No wonder such a large portion of chips as they were probably trying to get rid of them? Having spent weeks recovering from surgery I was so looking forward to fish and chips only to have such a disappointing meal!!!!
