Next, I asked for the food menu since we intended to have dinner there. However, he informed us that they only had chips available because the cooler had broken earlier and had just been repaired. He suggested that if we waited about 45 minutes, food would be ready then. This confused me, as my understanding was that the only items served at Emma's are cold sandwiches. I couldn’t understand what difference it made whether the cooler was fully operational. Any food that was in there would have had to be moved out and back in to prevent spoilage. As long as the deli meat had been properly refrigerated, there shouldn’t have been a problem. Ultimately, we decided against dining there because we were concerned it might make us sick. The situation took another turn when my wife asked about their Chardonnay options. The bartender didn’t seem to know and selected a couple of bottles off the wall. We chose an organic option and requested two glasses. However, just as he was about to pour, we both shouted for him to stop! He was about to serve us room temperature white wine from the bottle he had just picked. Seriously? He eventually found a bottle in the cooler and poured us a couple of glasses, but it wasn't cold, just not quite room temperature. Neither of us enjoyed the wine, and we both started to get headaches before finishing our glasses. Throughout this, the host seemed to have forgotten us entirely and was engaged in conversation with a friend who looked like a character from the Unabomber era. Frustrated, we decided we’d had enough. We settled the bill and left for another restaurant. All the positive reviews about excellent service, great food, and a friendly host clearly did not apply to us. Instead, we had one of the most bizarre dining experiences we've ever encountered. It's clear we won’t be coming back.

This local bar is fantastic, featuring an excellent selection of beers. The staff is exceptional and extremely friendly! If you're a first-time visitor, they'll treat you like a regular! I would give them 6 stars if I could! Price per person: $10–20. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5. Recommended dish: Sandwich.
