The food was okey but nothing special. We could sit outside which was less strict than the inside. The waitress was pleasant and the service quick.
This is a nicely appointed restaurant with a friendly staff, but unfortunately not enough staff to meet their service needs. The servers all but ran through the restaurant as they put the food out. My wife had salmon which came with vegetables, which seemed to be hard to find in France. I had the seafood pasta. Both meals were good, with generous portions. The prices were reasonable, but they just needed more people to work there.
The decor at this restaurant is so contemporary that it is almost unexpected to find it in Rouen amid all of the medieval architecture. The food, though, draws nicely on traditional French cuisine. The foie gras was very good. The stakes were very rare. Meaning, if you order "medium" by American standards, you will get what is considered "rare" in the US. Overall, it's a very nice restaurant.
We happened upon this restaurant by accident - we came to Rouen for the weekend without a dinner reservation. Bad idea - all the Tripadvisor recommendations were booked. We wandered around and found this place and asked. The host was wonderfully gracious and agreed to give us dinner in the lounge as he, too, was fully booked. My husband was skeptical because of the cheeseburger on the menu but we didn't have much choice as it was getting late. What a wonderful surprise. Lots of local seafood, beautifully prepared in a variety of ways. The grilled shrimp appetizer was wonderful, the fish preparations and mashed potatoes with leeks were fantastic, desserts were beautiful and delicious. We were lucky to run into such an accommodating host and such a wonderful dinner experience. Very nice indeed!
