Chapu Teashoppe - Rosemead

Very nice new shop inside a restaurant, owner works hard and the tea is good.

I wanted to try something new and this place popped up nearby on Yelp. I stopped by on the way back from work around 5pm. Like others have mentioned, this tea shop is located inside a restaurant that 's not open. Location is kind of odd but one plus is that they have a decent sized parking lot in the back. I ordered the roasted oolong milk tea and the osmanthus oolong tea, both with 60% sugar. The drinks were not very sweet so if you like your drinks on the sweeter side definitely stick with regular sugar. For me the 60% was perfect amount of sweetness. The oolong milk tea was decent--fairly standard compared to other places. I could really taste the roasted part. The osmanthus oolong, however, didn 't taste like osmanthus oolong. It had a lime-y fruity taste. My husband didn 't like it. Overall, this place was only ok. The prices are on the higher side but the quality is not quite there to justify the higher cost.

Ordered the roasted oolong milk tea and earl grey milk tea. The roasted oolong was steeped/roasted when ordered. It was one of the more buff oolong milk teas that I have had in awhile. Definitely will be back for more.

Drinks: I've only gotten oolong here and it's probably my favorite i now refuse to go elsewhere for any oolong tea!! the oolong has a strong tea feeling and that's my favorite! with the building, they share an place with a restaurant so it was confusing walking in for the first time. workers are nice and they're still have a promotion with i think 10% or 15% off!

CHApu Tea Shoppe is located inside a restaurant which I found odd but also cool. There is a limited selection of drinks here which is great for those who are indecisive like me... I got their Osmanthus Oolong Tea and Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. Both drinks tasted great and weren't overly sweet compared to most places. Osmanthus Oolong Tea: If you love oolong, then this is your drink. This was definitely on the stronger tea side as I couldn't taste any osmanthus flavor. Loved the tea flavor and it was enjoyable. Perfect for a hot summer! Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea: This definitely tastes super different from all the other boba shops. It wasn't overly sweet or as I would like to say, the perfect sweetness for me. The boba was good and super chewy!
