We had about an hour to kill prior to visiting the Catacomb of Priscilla. We stumbled upon this tiny Tavolo Caldo about 5 min away. Only about 4 tables but in Good weather they have some outside seating. A nice array of homemade goodies including octopus, eggplant parm, sandwiches etc. Beer on draft and a large selections of wine. I wasn’t starving so I ordered a homemade soup of beans and lentils. Absolutely delicious, it was preceded by a complimentary small sandwich of mortadella, pistachios, and a small piece of lemon, not only an unusual combo but very tasty. Soup was accompanied by 3 nice slices of toasted bread with a quality olive oil. Although this is a modest place I would happily eat dinner here. They seem to have other things not on the menu. Recommended.
