The owner, Silvia, strives to make everyone feel as they were actually eating at her home! We certainly did, and it made our meal even more pleasant! We enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere so much that we went back for lunch a few days later, and lunch was just as great, with plenty of veggies options!!!! Wonderful Italian experience and at reasonable prices!
€8 for a buffet lunch with water and coffee and bread. Amazing little place tucked near to the Vatican bit away from the main tread. Lunch was fantastic. We stuck to the veggies and the aubergine and mozerella was to die for! Relaxed service and friendly.
Nice family operated restaurant on a quite side street. Variety of fresh pasta, great house wine , very friendly service. Closed on Sunday. Opens after 7pm.
My husband and I ate here most days during our week in Rome due to the quality of food, wine and service in a very pleasant setting. The restaurant is family owned and run by Sara, her sister and father and the food is wonderful authentic Italian cuisine. The restaurant is located very close to The Vatican. There was lots of choice on the menu and each time we visited the service was really pleasant and efficient. From the menu the steaks were gorgeous really well cooked and delicious; as was the veal escalopes, and beef in a Gorgonzola sauce. The mixed fish starter was a delight and a great way of tasting a variety of cold cuts including carpaccio of swordfish which was delicious. The Tirimisu was the best I’ve ever tasted yummy!! The house wines (both red and white) were exceptional for the price of 5 Euros for a 0.5 litre carafe. The lunchtime buffet is a must! A really hearty meal including wine, water and coffee for just 8 Euros. It was a great way of trying a large variety of gorgeous home cooking including omelettes, pastas, risotto, salads, meats and grilled vegetables. The welcome and hospitality were fantastic both at lunchtime and in the evening. A huge thank you to Sara and her family for making our holiday such a culinary delight. I wish I could relocate your restaurant to near our home.
A great little local restaurant not far from the Vatican Museum with excellent food and wine and a warm and relaxed atmosphere. My waitress spoke very good English too. Don't miss out on their home-made gnocchi!
