Contribuiți la feedbackWe visited around 1.10pm. The restaurant was busy, and running out of food. Tables were left with dirty crockery on it so difficult to find an empty and clean table. Very limited menu, and quite expensive.
I visited the restaurant today and was very disappointed. I chose to sit at a table for 2 at the far end, but as I waited for my husband to bring back our food and drinks, a couple of ladies came to sit at the table next to me. Not only did they have to squeeze by, but once seated, I could have easily touched their table. I felt so uncomfortable that I moved to a table with more space. I apologized to the ladies, explaining that the tables were too close for comfort, and they agreed. It seemed that M&S did not consider the safety of their customers, just cramming in as many tables as possible for profit. We will not be returning any time soon.
Today I visited the Southend branch of the restaurant. I ordered two coffees, but despite asking for them to be served in a takeaway cup, they were initially given to me in China cups. When the drinks were finally put into a takeaway cup, I was disappointed to see that they were only filled three-quarters of the way. I requested for them to be topped up, which was done, but I was concerned about the portion size especially considering the recent price increase. After putting the drinks in my cup holder and bag, I found that the coffee had cooled down significantly by the time I left the shop, making it less enjoyable. I felt it was necessary to mention this experience as I found it to be unfair and disappointing.
Rayleigh M&S food hall has some accessibility issues that need to be addressed. It is frustrating to see two out of the three disabled parking bays located far away from the pay-to-park machine, especially on a slope. As a registered disabled person, I don't mind paying for parking but I do think more consideration should be given to those with mobility issues. Additionally, it is concerning to see non-disabled drivers parking in disabled spots without proper permits. The staff at the store claim that it is not their responsibility, but I believe M&S should prioritize the best customer experience, including those with disabilities. Placing an additional pay machine by the disabled parking area and providing shopping scooters for those in need would be a simple solution. The lack of care and interest in accommodating disabled customers is disappointing. Despite the limitations in the café choices, the staff are still helpful and accommodating. M&S should make an effort to be more inclusive and considerate of all customers, including those with disabilities.
I use this M&S branch for much of my weekly food shop. choice is good and food is mainly high quality, whether fresh meat and veg or prepard meals.
