La Trappola - ROCCARASO

Excellent. The food in the Roccaraso area is uniformly fantastic. Especially for Americans. But La Trappola holds a special place for us. We came here during the middle of the week during day two of a three day snowstorm. The dining room is small, but cozy and nice. Given the snow there were only two other tables occupied the entire night. We felt we were at their house. Everything was really perfect. Salumi e formaggi, pizze, paste, bistecca e stinco di maiale. Tutti eranno perfetti. Noi non possiamo aspettare di mangiarla l'anno prossimo.

During our trip to Pescocostanzo we made an effort to stop there for lunch. I suppose you need reservations, as this place is well known and quite busy. I am no fan of Risotto, yet this one was out of this world, just amazing, as were all the dishes we were served. You cannot go wrong, no matter what you choose. It felt like being at Grandma's, served by family members and I was excited to taste every dish we were served and luckily we were a big group, so I got to taste a lot of different dishes. I remember some bean dish, usually as well not my favorite, yet this one was super tasty and so was the meat. Portions are big, so you better bring a healthy appetite. The decoration was lovely, as they put a lot of work into it and the ceiling was hilarious as they have a huge mouse trap as decoration. If you get a chance to go there, please do not miss out! I consider myself fortunate, that my Italian friends took me there!

Great place, great food, friendly staff. Their risotto is out of this world. Recommend reservations if you have a large group. The restaurant is not very big. Jole, the owner/chef and the servers are very helpful in helping you with your food choices. I highly recommend to try it.

Locale un po' piccolino ma comunque accogliente, forse non il massimo in questo periodo di covid, ma tutte le norme sono rispettate. I piatti che abbiamo provato sono buoni e molto abbondanti.Quando ci siamo recati noi il locale era pieno e l'attesa è stata abbastanza, ma capiamo la situazione e alla fine siamo stati bene.

Se ce ne fosse stato bisogno, ancora una volta un locale con una cucina sana e gustosa. Dai cazzarelli ai ravioli, passando per la ricotta unica per sapore e pastosita Ottimi anche i dessert Consigliatissimo
