TGI FRIDAYS - Roanoke

Previously we were just at the bar when we booked. the business was particularly slow in the bar area. forever to get menus. then forever someone else took our drinks orders. my date ordered a chilled shot mixed drink. I'm asking for a sam adams summer ale. “We don’t have it,” I ask for a beerlist. order a fat tire from the list. “Oh, we don’t have that anymore.” so I order a sam adams from the beer list. “We have not. “I ordered a water half with the expectation that they do not have water at this point. I have the water, but I never touched it. my date did her unchilled (ordered cooled) shot almost got sick because it wasn't what she ordered. we paid for their drinks left for shula where the service was excellent

First I made a “reservation” but at the arrival they do not take any reservations? their web page otherwise displayed and open table sent me a confirmation. nearly 20 minutes waiting for our drinks. no dewars scotch, although it is on their menu. our waiter seemed overwhelmed by any accusations. he was very apologetic, but seemed simply new. You choose these restaurants with an expectation of consistency, but this Friday was very bad. far under par.

Drive through a long journey and was not disappointed.

It had been a long time since I had been in a TGI Friday's. It will be a longer time until I go back. This is not the TGIF that I remember. Menu has been gutted. What happened to the steak options?

Awful. I showed up and the greeters were extremely rude and said they don’t take Open Table. Then I was not allowed to make another reservation on Open Table. If they don’t use Open Table that’s fine. They need to remove it. Just seriously rude. There are a lot of options for restaurants these days and I can certainly go elsewhere.
