The Roanoke Weiner Stand

My friend and I were the youngest people there for lunch. ? The food was good, you get two hot dogs on the combo. I couldn't finish, but it was all super good. Love some crinkle

One hot dog and a sweet tea, $6.00 and change. Served up by what may have been the grouchiest server ever. Have been here so many times but I 'm done. A decent hot dog can be found at the CI with much friendlier service and a sheet ton less expensive. Hate to see this place go down hill so fast.

I had lived in Roanoke for over forty years and in those years ate the weenie stand, mostly downtown at least once a month. On this trip back to Roanoke, we went to the store downtown, only to find it temporarily closed. So, the next best alternative was to travel out to their Brandon Rd. location. My first surprise was that when my partner ordered coffee with cream, we were told no cream. She asked if milk was available. No milk either. Maybe my taste buds are not as efficient as they were when I was younger, but the chili on the hot dog was bland and tasteless. What a disappointment. I must have eaten hundreds of Roanoke weenie stands dogs, all the way over the years and never though the chili was lacking in taste.

Best local place to get old fashioned hot dogs. The price is helpful, too!Kid-friendliness: My son loves to go with me!

The food was terrible with cinnamon in the chili, the service was unfriendly, and the prices were high.
