Great 611 Steak Co - Roanoke

I use to like eating there when I visited Roanoke. But last night I ordered beef tips with gravy. The tips were so tough I could barely chew them. Our service was horrible. Our waitress was to busy flirting with other staff rather than paying attention to her tables. I am pregnant and with in hours of eating there I started feeling sick. This morning I had to contact my Dr. I found out that I have food poisoning. Even though I ordered the meat well done apparently it was still bad. I called the restaurant today to tell them about the food poisoning I DID NOT ASK FOR MY MONEY BACK NOR ASK FOR A FREE MEAL. One manager said to bring in a doctors note but I don't live in roanoke. So she said she didn't care. I lost my temper for the fact that I am pregnant and have food poisoning. Another manager got on the phone and proceeded to tell me that they don't believe me and hung up the phone. I will never eat at this restaurant again. VERY DISRESPECTFUL. I will contact a higher management first thing in the morning.

This place has the vibe of a previous Western Sizzling, with an obsession with trains, specifically the 611. They serve Coke products, although the Coke is slightly 'watered down' in taste, served in small glasses. The servers while friendly and mostly attentive don't all wear the same uniform. Some wearing the 611 t-shirt, while others wearing plain clothes. Buffet bar includes a salad, vegetable, soup, taco, and dessert section with ice cream machine. Only meat on the buffet is the taco meat. Nothing special about the buffet selections, all seem to be Sysco supplied with a very commercial taste. The chili beans had dried out on top and looked like they could have been stirred up - not really something that they stay on top of to keep the bar appetizing. Soup selections included overly chunky vegetable soup, and potato soup. The potato soup was pretty bland even after adding bacon bits, chives, and cheese. Most items do not include the bar, but it can be added for around $3.50. We ordered steak and the cook temps were way off. I ordered medium rare and it came out medium; very medium and on the border of medium well. The cover the low quality of the meat with a salt seasoning that did make it taste a little better. When entering, there is a meat case with steaks in it; these are by far NOT the same steaks that will arrive to your table. Rolls to the table while your waiting, with the good honey butter. If they aren't busy your main food will be out before you can eat your salad. All in all not to expensive and you can get a good variety at a decent price. This is a nice family spot, not somewhere you would take a hot date trying to impress them.

Folosesc ca să mănânc acolo când l-am vizitat pe Roanoke. Dar noaptea trecută am comandat sfaturi de carne de vită cu sos. Sfaturile erau atât de dure încât puteam să le mestec abia. Serviciul nostru era oribil. Chelnerița noastră a fost ocupată de a flirta cu alți personal, mai degrabă decât să acorde atenție meselor ei. Sunt însărcinată și cu ore de mâncare acolo am început să mă simt rău. În această dimineață trebuia să-mi contactez pe Dr. Am aflat că am otrăvire alimentară. Chiar dacă am comandat carnea bine făcută aparent, era încă rău. Am sunat astăzi restaurantul pentru a le spune despre otrăvirea alimentelor pe care nu am cerut-mi banii înapoi și nu am cerut o masă liberă. Un manager a spus să aducă o notă de medici, dar nu locuiesc în Roanoke. Așa că a spus că nu-i pasă. Mi-am pierdut temperamentul pentru faptul că sunt însărcinată și am otrăvire alimentară. Un alt manager a ajuns la telefon și a continuat să-mi spună că nu mă crede și au închis telefonul. Nu voi mai mânca niciodată la acest restaurant. Foarte lipsit de respect. Voi contacta un management mai mare în dimineața.
