Abuelo's Mexican - Roanoke

I had a wonderful time with my family at Abuelo. I enjoyed a delicious fajita combo that featured perfectly cooked steak and BBQ shrimp. We were quite full after our meal, so we decided to order some cake to take home and savored it later.

Food was great. Sat at the bar and the bartender was politely helpful and very attentive. Glass was never empty I could say the same thing about my record. Unfortunately was not able to finish the combination Fajitas, but loved trying. Would definitely recommend.

Food service here is always great and must be one of the best places for Tex Mex, not only Roanoke, but also Myrtle Beach. My daughter even dropped her “Kids Queensadilla” on the ground and the waiter brought an extra. How great was that? Pro Tip: Turn your rice or beans for the “papapas”. You will not be disappointed!

The best I ever tasted. And the waitress Jessica was very pleasant and friendly .. highly recommended to eat here.

I would give this restaurant 4.5 stars. I really enjoy this place; it offers a unique twist on the typical Mexican dining experience. I've been here numerous times, and the service is usually quick and professional. The food is quite tasty as well. However, I should mention that prices are a bit on the higher side, and the portion sizes appear to be slightly smaller. If you're accustomed to getting a large amount of food and plan to ask for a takeout box, you might be let down. On the plus side, they offer a fantastic variety of dishes that you won't find elsewhere.
