Charley Rokk's Authentic Texas Bbq

This restaurant is fantastic! The tri-tip and ribs are excellent, and the chicken is incredibly juicy. The baked beans are sweet and have chunks of bacon, while the potato salad has a nice little kick to it. Everything is delicious!

Let me start by saying that the service was outstanding—very kind, friendly, and helpful. The fried catfish was quite flavorful and tasted fresh. However, I found the mac and cheese to be disappointing; it was somewhat stale and just didn’t have the right flavor for me. I wasn’t a fan. The collard greens were tender and vibrant, but they lacked the delicious seasoning I usually enjoy. The cornbread was good, though not exceptional. I plan to visit Charley Rokk's again in the near future, as I believe it has great potential and is still a work in progress.

It's a cozy little restaurant, but the ribs were simply outstanding—I was genuinely impressed. If you live nearby or are in the area and are in the mood for some delicious ribs, Charley Rokk's is the place to go.

This was my first time visiting a Charley RoKK's BBQ and the quality of the meats were okay, but the flavor does not even begin to compare to Oklahoma or Texas Barbecue because even though it looked like it had been smoked it was absent of smoke flavor. The baked beans tasted like it came out of Pork Beans can and the Potatoe salad was A-Okay so I will give a grade of C+ and will not return.

The ppl (a man and a woman) were very friendly. The space is small and clean. It's easy to find. Both meats were very tender but the sauce was just okay. The cornbread was light and fluffy. I was surprised by how good it was. It would be GREAT if it came with a brown sugar butter or something. The mac and cheese was sadly the most disappointing part of the meal. It was gritty and pretty flavorless. But the guy said it's the most popular side. The yams were easily the best part of the meal. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I got the 2 meat combo for $15.99 and the portions are good sized. I was really too full to eat the cornbread, but I ate 3/4 of it because it was good.
