Cheba Hut Toasted Subs - Riverside

Excellent staff and loves all the subs they offer. The ingredients all above all other sub places.

I loved everything about this place! The food was delicious, and I really appreciated the fun stickers all over the walls. The drink options were fantastic; the orange and turmeric drink was especially tasty. They did forget my bacon, but the Thai teriyaki was a bit much on its own. A little mayo made it perfect—pure sandwich heaven! My best friend enjoyed his White Widow with olives, holding the veggies. A bit of extra cheba would have been nice, but someone had to be the designated driver!

I ordered takeout, but it seems like a fantastic place to relax if you dine in. The food was excellent—I've been searching for another place that serves grinders. They offered plenty of ingredients, and my large order was ready in a timely manner. The names on the menu are really fun too!

The sandwiches are fantastic, but waiting an hour in-store for an online order is completely unacceptable. The estimated order times should be updated to accurately reflect the actual wait time. I placed my order around 11:50 AM, which indicated it would be ready by 12:06 PM, but it wasn't actually ready until 12:45 PM. This forced me to use 25 minutes of paid time off to extend my lunch just for a sandwich. The only reason it was finally prepared at 12:45 PM was that I approached the counter to check on my order, and they told me, “Oh, we can make it next,” implying that it hadn't even been started. A more honest estimation of the wait time would have allowed me to adjust my lunch plans or cancel the order altogether. I don't typically criticize customer service, knowing that employees aren't paid enough, but I do expect a certain level of consideration from the company, which could be achieved with more realistic online wait times.
